On Labor Day weekend we went back to Drummer Boy in PA for the second time this season. We first visited over Father's Day weekend and we really liked it so we decided to head back. Besides, Hubby and I were only half way through the driving tour CD at the Gettysburg Battlefield and we had ambitious plans to make it back to finish the tour- didn't happen. We ended up staying at the campground the whole time and swam in the pool and played a little golf at the putt putt course (which cost an extra $9.00!)

Drummer Boy is a fairly big campground so we had to rent a golf cart- it's easier than waking up the whole campground with our diesel engine at 7 am when we forget the syrup. We used to haul out an extra car seat when Ham was little and bungy cord it to the golf cart. With G we just strap in his booster seat and put him in it- we still have to hold on to him but it does make him more secure than sitting in our lab while we're driving.

Our site was a pull through up near the "back pool" this time and we could hear more truck noise from the interstate nearby. Our site was lower down the hill in June and the interstate was quieter. There are some sites in the campground that are right next to the interstate so close if you tripped you would get run over. There were big rocks everywhere including right at the edge of our site and, wouldn't you know, Ham just couldn't wait to climb them- which explains the pjs and crocks in the next photo...

G wanted so bad to climb those rocks like his big brother- at this point he had only been walking about a week or two...

We liked the "back pool" a lot- it has a water slide but Ham was too short to go down it so he made his own diving board from one of the walls that seperated the zero entry from the deeper part.

The next shot is one of my all time favorites- I'm seriously thinking of printing it big for his "big boy room" I'm going to call it "the approach"
About a week before we campedg had a really scary reaction (hives)to some fish we were eating for dinner but we had no idea when we served him french toast for breakfast he was allergic to eggs...
Apparently its the eggs that cause eczema- who knew?!

We also found out that G was allergic to peanuts (like every other kid in the world) and Mustard which is in Old Bay. The mustard and the fish are the worst - poor kid - living in Maryland is tough when you're allergic to fish and Old Bay!
